New Bat Wing Mantle Clock

The Bat Wing Mantle Clock is done and is listed on Ebay .   This clock I painted and gold leafed to look old and spooky. The clock face was painted with a haunted mansion with it’s own ghostly occupant, batty bats in flight and a bat traveling around on the minute hand.

The front also has a cemetery scene and also a specter passing through the corn stalks.  The top has a witch riding past a full moon and bats and an owl flying along with her.

Brandon and I love the Bat Wing Design.  The hand carved wings make quite the statement giving the clock it’s wing span of 20 inches.   Now that this is done I am working on a couple of unique items that I hope to have finished or close to done by next weekend.

Uncle Jack O’Lantern

Hope everyone had a nice Father’s Day!   We had a cookout for Brandon and my Dad.  The weather was good we got lucky and it didn’t rain.  We had some yummy food and Brandon wanted an ice cream cake so luckily I didn’t have to bake.

Last week was crazy busy and it seems like I got nothing done!  I did get a small canvas painted, “Uncle Jack (O’Lantern),” just in time for the The Forth of July!  He is painted on a 8 inch square canvas.  I painted him to look like a vintage Halloween Jack-O-Lantern and patriotic for The Forth of July.  I finished him this morning and will be listing him on Ebay.

Now that’s done I am working on a couple of different clocks and a large wooden bowl.  Still working out the details and they should keep me busy for a while.  I hope to have one of them done by next weekend but we’ll see what this week brings.

Ardoria Studios – Our Second Blog!

Another Blog? Yup, we thought it over and decided Brandon’s work and my work needs it’s own space. We have different audiences and it was getting difficult to keep things interesting and not confusing.

So here it is. This is going to be my blog for things I am working on, things happening with us and places we go. Probably going to be more personal than Brandon’s. Brandon’s blog will be more of the works he is doing.  There will be some overlap because we work together on a lot of things too. So we’re going to give this a go and see how this all works out.

Okay, enough said. Onward.

Mother’s Day came and went and I did paint metal flower vases and what happened…..I didn’t take a picture of them completed. I did three of them and they were all different and had my mom and Brandon’s mom pick which one they wanted….Makes me angry I didn’t get a picture of them all together. I do have mine….

The others were completely different. They were dark green with hydrangeas….but you don’t get to see them, no pictures :-(   Although, I do have a small canvas that I had painted similar to them…

I have been spending a lot of time getting the blogs done (with the help of our cat, Leo), working outside getting the garden ready & planted and annuals planted in planters and in the flower beds.
